We’ve stayed here a few times and keep coming back. The hotel has a traditional European feel, large bedrooms, modern bathrooms, and very friendly staff. It’s about 100m from gondala one, and there’s a lively bar with live music on weekends. The showers were hot, and the spa pool was great after skiing. The new all-you-can-eat breakfast was okay, though not great. Heating was hard to control, so in winter I had to sleep with the window open.

This was my second stay at Christiania’s Lodge, and the staff were wonderful. The place has a lot of heart, and the pool was wonderfully warm. We went to comedy shows at Sarah’s lounge, and the atmosphere was electric. Highly recommend.

The kind, helpful staff made the service feel warm, and parking was convenient. Being so close to Gondola 1 is a real plus when you want more time on the slopes and less hassle. But Christiania Lodge is very dated, and that shapes the stay. The rooms feel worn, there are surprisingly few outlets, and the setup doesn’t work well for modern travelers with phones, laptops, chargers, and gear. The hot water was inconsistent, and my shower turned cold partway through. There’s also almost no sound insulation, so conversations next door were easy to hear and it was hard to rest or feel private. There’s no breakfast, which feels like a miss for a ski lodge at this price and location. It’s a great choice if you care most about location and friendly service, but quiet, modern rooms, and consistent comfort may not meet expectations.

During a family wedding weekend, people staying in different parts of Vail came by for coffee and a chat. They all remarked on how great the Christiania was. It felt clean, quiet for a Vail weekend, and very homey, and the staff were the real standout: kind, genuine, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Thanks to the whole team for making our weekend so comfortable. We’ll be back!

The Christiania is older, charmingly quaint, and super comfortable, with a perfect location. I took a chance booking a smaller place for seven days, and it turned out to be the right decision. My room looked out toward runs 3, 4, and 11, which helped me plan each mountain day. The pool turns into a massive hot tub in winter, and it was epic. I went because I badly needed a vacation on my own, and my priorities were location, convenience, and comfort. This hotel checked all three. The bar was fantastic and such a cute place to hang out after runs on Thursday. Every room also comes with bathrobes, which alone is a reason to book. The team was incredible from check-in, helpful and full of information. I had trouble with a shower head that sprayed everywhere except where it should, and a badly bowed mattress. After I’d tried to manage both for two nights, I called the front desk. Someone replaced the shower head and brought a new mattress within 30 minutes. I was shocked and grateful.
