Gore Creek Properties

I called in mid August about a listing I’d seen from Gore Creek Properties. The man who answered had an English tone and told me that property had already been rented. It was about $2300/month. He asked me to hold while he checked another place, then I spent five minutes listening to him yell across the room to a colleague. Learn to use the hold button. When he came back, he said there was still a property available if I could afford around $3350/month. I said I was trying to stay in the $2500 range, and he scoffed, laughed, and said, “good luck.” I found a beautiful apartment for $2200/month, so he can scoff at that. The service vehicle advertises five star reviews, but looking at Google, maybe they should double check their rating. The staff came across as arrogant and condescending. Take your business somewhere else instead of dealing with these snobs.

I rented a 1br condo in Vail this past weekend, and it felt very unwelcoming when we arrived. Someone’s dirty clothes were in the closet, there were half-empty nonperishable foods in the fridge and pantry, including Goldschlager and ketchup, and personal bathroom items were left behind, including an enema and soap. The place was quite outdated, which I could have lived with, but there was mold in the shower. That wasn’t okay. We contacted the office about it. At first they offered to clean the condo, then, after we hesitated, they moved us to a cleaner one. I’m shocked they rented out such a dirty, disheveled home, but they did come through with the upgrade.

I called to ask about rentals in the area after receiving a job offer, and the staff were rude. They switched me to other reps without warning while I was in the middle of asking questions. I wouldn’t recommend them for that alone. If they treat you this way before you’re tied to a contract, I expect it’ll be worse once you are. Take your money somewhere else.

We found a reasonably priced condo in East Vail over MLK. The staff were great, helped with the booking, and answered all my questions.
