Vantage Point Condo 411

The location is great and the parking is nice. It feels a bit dated, and the hot tubs need maintenance.

The condos are pretty decent, with a nice pool and hot tubs, and some good views. My lower rating is because I have a unit here each year for about a week, June 12-19, and I don’t recommend staying then, since it’s the start of their season and there’s always some kind of upkeep going on. Last year the pool and hot tub were closed. This year they were painting all the railings and would access your balcony and personal items at any time, for extended periods, without any notice. The general manager has made it clear that deadlines come before your experience and stay.

Laundry wasn’t in the unit, and the place felt at least 15 years out of date, from the awkward closets and fixtures to the water heater. They did replace the heater after I pushed, but it still didn’t work properly. The bigger problem was having no hot water for six of our seven days. I spent my vacation trying to sort it out, even using a butter knife like a screwdriver, and called several days in a row to report that it still wasn’t working. Management responded, but couldn’t fix it, and now they’re disputing the refund I’m owed. They also told me two other units had broken heat. We’d planned a special family Christmas trip, including my kids’ first time seeing snow, and this issue overshadowed the whole stay.

The rain got so heavy on my way west that I couldn’t keep driving, and since it was the middle of the night I needed to stop. I found a quiet spot in your lot where I wouldn’t be in anyone’s way, car-camped there, and slept soundly until well after daylight. Thanks for that!
