The location is handy, just off I75, and the rooms were clean enough. My first visit a few months ago was friendly, clean, good value, and restful. This time the evening clerk wasn’t rude, but seemed flat and like she’d rather be elsewhere, and the room felt a bit less clean. The pillows were the real problem: about a third the size of a standard pillow, and very uncomfortable. Maybe I was too tired from driving to notice them last time, or maybe they’ve cut costs. I’m probably done staying here. Unless you urgently need a safe place to stop, I’d keep driving. Clean rooms and a good location are all it has going for it.

After 12 hours on the road, we found a warm, welcoming place decorated for Christmas. The rooms were clean and the furniture was in good shape, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They had fresh lemon water by the desk, which was refreshing. Breakfast was a nice surprise too, with a good selection, decent coffee, and eggs that were palatable. One of the best La Quinta’s we’ve stayed at, and I’d recommend it without reservations.

Charles greeted me when I came in, and his kindness made us feel welcome after a rough, exhausting drive. We’d been driving from Denver toward Florida, through bad weather in Kansas and ice in Missouri, and I booked at the last minute as we pulled up. We slept really well. The whole staff was so great that I thanked them all in the morning. Highly recommend this hotel!

We had to move rooms at 2am because the heating unit was making a chainsaw-like noise, and the thermostat wouldn’t turn it off. The night clerk heard it over the phone and got us another room quickly. Earlier, I’d opened a drawer and found someone’s clothing, then checked the sheets and saw grass and hair. The front desk offered a different room, but I just wanted clean sheets, and she kindly helped me change them. It wasn’t the restful night we wanted before my husband’s surgery. We got a 10% discount and apologies from staff. The inside and outside look modern and nice, the location is good, and service was pleasant. Kamerin was professional and courteous. Breakfast was good, but I wish it ran until at least 10 or 1030 since not everyone gets up early. There’s freeway noise, too, and the building could be more soundproof.

For one night, the price was good and it was an easy stop right off the interstate. The traffic noise carried on all night, though. The bed had square pillows about half the size of regular ones, which was odd. The room had basic things: pump products in the shower, a bar of soap, microwave, coffee maker, and a small fridge. I only used the fridge, and it worked. The AC was set to 70* cool, but the room didn’t feel cool. Still, it worked as a stopover for us.
