Chris made us feel welcome right away and had helpful suggestions for restaurants and things to do nearby. The quiet desert setting was a treat, especially at sunset and under a sky full of more stars than we’d ever seen. Our Airstream was clean, roomy, and cleverly laid out, with a nice mix of comfort and adventure. It was also close enough to the Grand Canyon to make getting there easy. Staying at The Outpost Grand Canyon became one of the best parts of our trip. We’d happily come back.

We were sorry the cloudy weather kept us from seeing the stars, though the location has so little light pollution that a clear night must be something. The beds were so comfortable that I’m thinking about replacing our mattress at home. Everything was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully supplied, and the check-in and communication with the host were smooth and helpful. There’s a coffee shop and small grocery outlet close enough to walk to. It’s about 45 minutes from Grand Canyon National Park, and a really good alternative to a regular hotel or motel. We’d definitely stay again. 10/10!!!!

After a long day, it was nice not to have to drive all the way to Williams. The Outpost was around 30 minutes from the Grand Canyon and 20 from Tuyason, and we stayed two nights over spring break. Our Airstream had AC for daytime and heat at night, plus enough room for our teenager, who was glad there was a TV. We made good use of the hot tub and enjoyed the sunset views. Chris was a very good host. We also had a good meal and service at the hotel restaurant next door, then a drink in the lounge. Loved our stay and would absolutely recommend it to anyone heading to the Grand Canyon.

The hot tubs were a great thing to come back to after hiking. The Airstreams were in great shape and had what we needed, and there’s a general store nearby for anything else. It’s a peaceful spot and an easy drive to the Grand Canyon. The owners keep the property beautiful, are easy to reach if anything comes up, and really go out of their way to look after guests.

Our three boys loved sleeping in the trailer, and staying here felt like a fun change from an ordinary hotel. The Grand Canyon visitors center was an easy drive, about 30 minutes away. There’s also a little coffee shop and a delicious Mexican food truck within walking distance. Just a heads up about the larger trailer: the top bunk is pretty small and only fits little kids, around 8 and under. That worked for us. We had a great stay and definitely recommend it!
