Express Inn

For a budget stay, I found Express Inn surprisingly welcoming and reliable. It's one of the cheapest decent options around, often under $80 a night and sometimes as low as $65. Similar basics at chain hotels can cost twice as much. I'd happily stay again. The room was clean and practical, with fresh linens, a comfortable bed, working AC, a mini-fridge, microwave, and WiFi that stayed connected. There was plenty of parking right outside, including space for trucks or RVs. It's an exterior-corridor motel, but felt maintained and quiet enough for a good night's sleep near I-80. Check-in was quick and easy, and the friendly staff at the 24-hour front desk helped me in minutes. They had express options and a smile, no long wait or attitude, which made arriving after a long drive easy. It's useful for Napa wineries, Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, or passing through the Bay Area without spending a lot. A straightforward, no-fuss place run by people who care, and it lets you save for the fun parts of the trip. Highly recommend for budget travelers looking for a clean, safe spot.
