The Prime Suites, Vallejo and Napa Valley

I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Our room wasn't clean: there was long, dark hair on the coat stand and inside the shower curtain, and it wasn't mine or my husband's. The dog policy was also uncomfortable. At check-in we told them we had a service dog, but after I took him out, staff told me he had to relieve himself off the property. When I questioned that, they accused my husband of never mentioning the service dog and tried to charge us extra. Why allow dogs if they have to go off-site to do their business? I especially didn't feel comfortable doing that at night.

The staff made us feel welcome, and the location was handy for getting around, finding places to eat, and using transportation. Our family vacation stay was relaxing, with a clean, cozy room that was comfortable to come back to. The price also felt reasonable for the quality. We'd be happy to stay again next time.

The owner, KD, was quick to sort out my deposit when I called a couple of weeks after my stay because it still hadn't been refunded. That was great service. We were there over Halloween weekend, and the room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the parking lot felt safe.

We left for another hotel at 3 a.m. on the second night after finding bed bugs. The night before, a man appeared to be on fentanyl and spent much of the night leaning over his car while his girlfriend yelled at him and tried to get him inside. When we asked politely for a refund, they denied everything and said the photos I'd taken in the room weren't from their hotel, accusing us of lying. Bad service, and a bad area.
