We came because other guests had rated it so highly, and maybe that set our expectations too high. The bed was comfortable and nicely made, the sheets and linens were clean, and the room was well appointed. The price was reasonable, and I appreciated that they welcome pets. Cleaning seemed uneven, though. The floor was dirty, as were some lower parts of the furniture, while it looked like only the tops had been dusted. The office looked unkempt too. Maybe the cleaning staff had recently changed? Christian symbols and sayings are displayed prominently throughout. Some guests may appreciate that, and others may not.

Lance, the owner, and his family made us feel like family, even though we were 800 miles from home. People like them make traveling feel warmer, and I'll always stop here when I'm passing through Van Horn, Texas. The rooms are nice and have patios. There's a full kitchen area open to guests, plus free washers and dryers. The bed was comfortable and the furniture felt homey. There's also a restaurant on site. They deserve more stars.

We were on the road with our dogs and toddler and needed somewhere affordable at the last minute. We called, and they had one king room left at a very good price. They also gave us a great military discount. The reviews were good, and our experience made us glad we chose it. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're nearby.

The service was good, and when we asked for coffee cups they brought them right over. The hotel has just been redone, with very comfortable beds and real wood furniture. If I pass through here again, this will be my first choice.

We were really pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the room was. It was very clean and had a rustic feel, and the owners were friendly. Thanks, Lance, for a great stay. If you need a place in the area, I'd say stay here.
