Comfort Inn Van Wert

Our car was totaled, leaving me and two friends stranded. We weren't even guests, but the staff let us wait in the main lounge for about two hours until our ride arrived and offered us breakfast too. The people at this Comfort Inn in Van Wert were incredibly kind. I really appreciate them.

The pool made my whole family sick, even though we were there for just one night. The rooms were comfortable and mostly fine, nothing special, but that hardly matters after everyone got sick. I expected better from such a beautiful, amazing hotel. Avoid the pool if you don't want to be ill for a week.

My daughter called me in the middle of the night after a worker stereotyped her because of her skin color. The worker told her she couldn't charge things to her room because she was poor, even though she'd paid for the room with a credit card. She felt racially profiled and judged as unable to afford charging anything to her room because of her color.

We come here just to swim as a family, and it's easy to bring the pets along. We usually arrive mid-afternoon and get started. The pool is clean, the rooms are very clean, and I've never seen pests or rodents. The pillows and mattresses are surprisingly good, and there's a solid selection of exercise equipment and weights. Breakfast is awesome, with lots to choose from, including make-your-own waffles.
