Fountain Inn

I didn't sleep at all because I was terrified something would crawl on me. A roach ran out when I turned on the light, and there were clumps of hair on the sheets by the wall behind the bed. It was filthy, and the sheets clearly hadn't been changed. I was traveling alone in a city I didn't know, so I was afraid to go back to the desk for a refund and sleep in my vehicle. I'm sure the photos make clear this was nowhere near worth $102 a night. It felt obvious they charged me more because I was from out of town. It seemed like a place where locals live, which I'm not criticizing, but this isn't a city where people pay $100 a night.

Angie was such a sweetheart, and I'm really glad I met her. The owner was kind and helped with everything I asked. My room was clean and nice, the bed was comfy, and I slept like a baby. I'm from KY, not Van Wert, and this was one of the best motels I've stayed in. It may not be as fancy as a big Hampton, but the service and hospitality were just as good, maybe better.

Great service, and there's nice truck parking at @fountain in. I'd recommend it to truckers.

We gave it a try after reading a couple of good reviews, but the room was filthy and falling apart. The carpet was coming up, the water was rusty, and the room smelled awful, with grime in the corners and on surfaces. The neighbors also made a lot of noise all night. It was very unsanitary, and we demanded a refund. If the motel had looked like the pictures, it might have been okay.
