A month later, I'm still angry about what happened here. I'd booked five nights. On day four, I took my comforter to the front desk because it had a small, palm-sized spot and asked for a replacement. An hour later, the front desk called and said only, “My general manager says you need to leave the hotel immediately.” There was no explanation. At the desk, I was told the comforter was soiled and I had to leave. I said it was a small spot. This company provides bedding, so I assumed they'd deal with spills. The employee said she'd taken pictures, then asked if I had dogs, which made it seem like she didn't know. I said I had two service dogs. She then said she'd received several complaints about them barking. I'd been there four days and this was the first I'd heard of it. I explained that they're trained not to bark and offered to let her listen at the room door. She refused and said I had to leave right then. I've never felt more offended, and I'm an executive who travels all over the country. The day before, I'd seen this same employee approach two elderly people eating breakfast and tell them they had to leave immediately because their dog was barking. She confronted them publicly while they were still eating instead of letting them finish. I'll never stay at a Best Western again.
My room had a king bed and a sofa, which was handy for vegging out and scrolling while watching TV. The women at the front desk were so polite and sweet, a bright spot on an otherwise terrible day. Breakfast fell short. My waitress was polite and apologetic, but I got bacon instead of sausage and only learned afterward that they'd run out of sausage. Another guy brought my food and asked what toast I was waiting for, saying he'd be right back, but he never came back. I had a good stay otherwise. I'd recommend eating off-site.
The staff were nice, and the breakfast staff were great. The location is close to plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. Rooms can be hit or miss. We had two during our ten-day stay. The first was good, but the neighbors with kids were noisy. In the second, the bathroom door popped when shut, and the sink handle was stiff.
I've been working in the area for a while and have stayed here a couple of weeks. I plan to come back. Booking online costs less than calling the hotel, and when I checked in late, the receptionist was friendly, funny, and helpful. The room was good, but the water pressure was weak. This is the first hotel I've stayed at where breakfast costs extra, and I think it's a bit overpriced. I haven't tried it yet. When I'm in work mode, I don't want to sit down and eat, I just want to get to work. There's lots of parking. They also have a robot with cameras all over it that goes around the whole lot for security. I found it funny and nice at the same time.
I booked four nights and asked for a quiet room because I was there for school testing. On two of the four nights, kids ran up and down the hall, screaming and banging on walls late at night. Nothing was done about it, and it was horrible. If you have kids who want to act like monkeys, this may be the place for you. For more peace and quiet, you'd be better off at a cheaper hotel. The rooms cost a lot, and the stay felt like a circus.
