The kitchenette and refrigerator made the room especially handy, and there were thoughtful extras in the cupboards, plenty of towels, and full pump bottles of nice soap and shampoo. Everything felt fresh and welcoming, almost like home. Henry, my little dog, and I were both happy here. The staff are clearly fond of animals and were pleasant and helpful. It was my first visit to Vancouver while looking at property, and I liked Candlewood so much I’d invest in this location if I could.

We’ve kept coming back for about ten years because the place is well maintained and the staff are incredibly helpful. This November 2025, we stayed about 10 days, and the people working here were as nice as ever. The laundry room is cleaned daily, and its free machines all worked well. There’s also a workout room with cardio equipment and dumbbells. Several places to eat or grab coffee are an easy walk within two blocks, and more shops, including a large Fred Meyer supermarket, are nearby. Our room was spacious, clean, quiet, and everything worked. The bed was comfortable, and we hardly heard hallway noise. There’s a TV, desk and work area, and recliner. The kitchen has a two burner cooktop, full size fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker using basket style filters, toaster, microwave, and plenty of dishes, cutlery, pots, and pans.

Candlewood became a lovely home away from home during the two months I spent house hunting after moving from the DC area to Vancouver. I move into my new place tomorrow. I’d come here after an awful stay at another Vancouver hotel, and the staff were kind from the start. They showed me a few available rooms, and I chose one. It was spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, and the hotel stayed quiet. The staff were friendly, courteous, and professional. Lots of guests had their fur babies along, which was fun.

We were dealing with an unexpected death in the family, and the room felt like home when we really needed that comfort. When something unexpected came up during our visit and we needed one more night, the staff accommodated us without any trouble. They were very kind and helpful. The room worked well for what we needed, and the hotel is close to everything we needed. I’d recommend staying here.
