The front desk staff are wonderful, and the hotel is clean. The beds are advertised as pillow top, but they’re quite firm. The sheets, blankets, and pillows were fine, and there was no hand soap in the bathroom even though dish soap was available by the kitchen sink. My bigger issue came on the second night of an 11-night work trip. I’d chosen My Place Hotels because the room was advertised as having a kitchen. After buying groceries, I opened the cabinets and found no pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, or silverware. I travel a lot for work, and this is the only extended-stay chain I’ve come across that doesn’t provide basic kitchen items. It feels misleading to advertise a full kitchen without what you need to use it. People flying for work generally aren’t packing cookware, and the website should make it clear if supplies aren’t included. If I’d known, I would’ve booked elsewhere. Not having the kitchen basics defeats the point of having a kitchen. Since I count on cooking my own meals during extended stays, I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

I’m staying here temporarily while mold is being remediated in my apartment, and the hotel has already made a stressful time feel more comfortable. Juana made my room clean and inviting, thank you. So far, I’m pleased with the cleanliness and service, and I look forward to finishing my stay here. I plan to update this review at the end. From the moment I arrived at My Place Hotel, the staff have been professional, courteous, and welcoming. Check-in went smoothly, and each interaction has been handled with care. The hotel is clean, organized, and comfortable. The room and shared areas are well maintained, and the amenities seem thoughtfully set up for short or extended stays.

The staff were friendly, the room was very clean, and the walls kept the sound out well. We came to Vancouver, Wa over the MLK holiday weekend, and this was my first stay at a My Place Hotel. The good reviews, convenient location, and competitive rate, especially for such a highly rated place, convinced us to book. For the best value, I’d recommend joining My Place before you arrive. Membership gets you early check-in, late checkout, a free bottle of water on arrival, and points toward saving on future stays. This was the best value I’ve had in a VERY long time. Wish I could give it more stars.

Everything was within a five-minute drive, so the location was the best part. The room had the feel of a studio apartment, with a washer and dryer built in, which was nice. But the toilet wouldn’t flush unless I reached into the reservoir and pulled the cord inside. The bed and pillows were harder than a rock, and by the second morning my back sounded like a pack of firecrackers when I got up. No go if you have a bad back. The sleeping quality was HORRENDOUS.

Charissa was warm, kind, and eager to help. One of the kitchen appliances wasn’t working, and with her maintenance person unavailable, she found a replacement for us. I really appreciated that. Check-in and check-out were both great, and for our first MyPlace stay, it was a good experience. We’d packed kitchen items and cooked food we bought fresh at the Porland farmer's market, which was a treat while out of town. We booked through Orbitz at $100 a night, plus $15 a night for our dog. Most of all, we appreciated Charissa’s kindness.
