Two days after my stay, they tried to charge my card another $50 for a second deposit, on top of the $50 I had already paid. My bank blocked it. I believe they can give arbitrary reasons when you dispute a charge because of the online booking policy. I added this update so people would see it. They may be upset about my review. If you can avoid it, don’t pay by card. I hope the photos reach Public Health for Dayton & Montgomery County, which I plan to deliver personally. The younger staff member was nice, and there didn’t seem to be pests, so it looked like they had dealt with that issue. But they hadn’t cleaned up afterward. When I opened the pull-out couch, the mattress sprang open and sent mouse droppings and dried urine onto me. I got a checkup afterward that cost $60. There was also a rat dropping on the freshly made bed when I arrived, as the photos show. Dog poop was all over the place. Don’t walk barefoot in the halls or even in your room. My supposed non-smoking room had burns in the carpet and bedsheets from ash, and smelled like a pack of Molboros. The fridge and TV were broken, and the microwave downstairs had to be shared with other guests.

I just wanted a clean, friendly place to rest, but this was a letdown. The room was filthy, there were cockroaches, and the shower was broken. The staff were rude, and there was a lot of riffraff and drug use around. The key fob didn’t work, and they required a $20 nonrefundable deposit. Although I rented for two days, I had to leave at 11 a.m. and return at 3 p.m. for check-in or pay a $15 fee.

The staff treated me terribly for having a service animal. They wouldn’t educate themselves about what the law allows them to ask, called my cardiac and seizure alert and response dog an “emotional support pet,” and said I clearly didn’t need him because my husband took him to the bathroom while I was checking in. They eventually let me in, but not before I had a cardiac episode. I was threatened with room checks, though they never actually did one, and the threats felt like more discrimination. They also refuse first-floor rooms to guests booking more than one night, even when the guest is disabled. My bed felt like a cot, the pillows seemed about 30 years old, and the sheets had holes and burns. There’s only a fridge in the room, no microwave, and they don’t allow cooking appliances, not even a crockpot. They threaten to kick you out for having a visitor, even if you aren’t making noise. There’s no breakfast. The windows have no screens, so a child could fall out. When I complained about a man who kept following me to my room and making sexual comments, the next morning we were told to leave. Two managers, a man and a woman, said I should have ignored him. The woman was extremely rude and acted as if I had blamed her. I was treated like I’d done something wrong for making a small complaint, while the man who followed me and other women around faced no consequences. We had to leave during a snowstorm when it was 10 below zero. When I asked why, the woman said they were a private business and could ask anyone to leave, then said that if we didn’t feel safe, we should leave. My 67-year-old mother uses a wheelchair, and the ramp and sidewalks were buried in snow. I took pictures. They also put an elderly couple who had been staying there for months out in the middle of the same storm. Be careful if you’re a woman traveling alone. This happened more than once during my stay, and you may be treated as if you did something wrong. Breakfast was okay, but getting cream and sugar when they ran out felt like begging. The place often smelled like wet dog or pool chemicals. The two Hispanic cleaning ladies were lovely, quick, and thorough on the days they worked. Book online if you can, since the front desk charge was almost double. They also get irritated if you use Wyndham points for a free night. Lock your card after paying if possible. We had random charges from them twice, though they fixed them quickly.

We didn’t stay the night. The jacuzzi suite was supposed to be for Valentine’s Day 2026, but the tub clearly hadn’t been cleaned. Hair and other stuff floated in it when we filled it, only two of the four jets worked, and the handle was broken. The sheets were stained and didn’t look washed, the comforter had a hole, and the light bulbs were covered with something that looked corroded. The place smelled strongly of weed, which I know is legal in Ohio, but it gave me a headache. We went back to his family’s house for the night. When he went to check out in the morning, they said they don’t give refunds for any reason. We took pictures of everything.
