That stair climb is worth knowing about before you book. We were on the third floor for three nights, and the room and property were VERY clean and well kept. The kitchenette came in handy, and we appreciated the free beach tags, with the deposit fully refunded. Bubbie’s Kosher Restaurant is just around the corner, which was a bonus for us.

Room 4 worked out so well for our birthday and bachelorette weekend, with two of us in the king bed and two in the bunks. We were four friends, and the place felt just right. It’s an easy half-hour walk to the Knife and Fork, and breakfast at North Beach Cafe and Creamery was great. The beach is SO close. Getting in with a code was simple, and we picked up a parking permit from the cafe without any trouble. The few people we met from the staff, including Al and the folks at the corner cafe, were lovely. It also feels cared for and personal, not corporate.

We had a nice evening on the front porch and ended up chatting for a while with two other couples who were staying there. The hotel was very clean, and it’s conveniently close to the beach and the restaurants in the area. We’d definitely come back.

The room was pleasant and quiet, though the floor wasn’t level. The bathroom was tiny, and the bed felt firm around the edges but sagged in the middle. I thought the price was high compared with the offers posted now, so check for the best rate before renting.

That front porch is dreamy, and the location is great, close to the beach and restaurants. I always enjoy staying there. It’s clean, they’re very accommodating, and John the owner is always around and really nice!
