The location worked well for walking around Ventura, and the sunset views were lovely, though the freeway was hard to ignore. The rooms are dated but clean, and they have dog-friendly options. My early arrival got things off to a rough start. The woman I spoke with was nearly rude and made me feel unwelcome. Later, the two young women who checked us in were very pleasant.

We found the staff kind and helpful, and the price was affordable. Our ocean-facing balcony and the fireplace made the room feel especially cozy. The free breakfast was a nice extra, too. It’s walkable to the beach, while being a little removed from downtown and therefore more peaceful. My husband and I had a wonderful overnight stay.

The free breakfast was very good. Our morning boat trip to Channel Islands got cancelled, and we were grateful that they let us stay in the room until checkout. The pool was dirty, though, and the lounge chairs need replacing.

The location is good and quiet, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and the AC and heater both worked well. The Inn is being renovated now, but the rooms still need a makeover to feel current. The bed was firm and supportive, and the pillows kept their shape.

We could see the Pacific beautifully from our room. The mattresses were the standout, soft but firm at once, and I think they might be Tempur Pedic. The room was spacious, tidy, and clean. Breakfast ran from 7-10 AM and had a nice selection. The freeway is right outside and can get noisy, though from our Ocean View room just above it we could barely hear it indoors. Front desk and maintenance staff were welcoming and exceptional. We had a very nice stay and will be back often.
