Green Bird Inn

The rooms are decent for the price, and as someone who’s particular about cleanliness, I found them acceptable. I’ve stayed twice while in town for work, and my schedule changed several times on both trips. Green Bird was very helpful about shifting my check-in and check-out dates. I’d book directly with them next time, since Expedia limited the motel’s ability to adjust my stay.

Traffic from Highway 287 is the main drawback. It’s very close by and busy, and the windows don’t block much of the sound, so I heard cars throughout the night. The Green Bird Inn is a modest, affordable motel with somewhat dated rooms, though, and a nice alternative to the larger chain hotels in Vernon if you’re watching your budget.

The service stood out, friendly and professional, with staff who were genuinely attentive and went out of their way to make things easy. The rooms were spotless, modern, and well maintained, and the comfortable bedding, strong water pressure, and thoughtful amenities gave the stay a premium feel. It may be called a motel, but my experience felt like a high-end five-star hotel and went well beyond what I expected.

It was really quiet, and no one bothered us. The staff were nice, the rooms were clean, and the heater worked well. Being near Walmart and places to eat was handy, and they accept pets, which was a plus for me. We had a very nice stay.
