Knights Inn Vero Beach

The room had roaches, and the sheets and comforter had cigarette burns. They need to clean behind the nightstands and under the beds better. I also had to argue with the front desk woman to get a couple of extra pillows. She wouldn't hand them over until I threatened to leave and asked her to comp my bill. Very unprofessional. The rooms are nice, but I won't come back, and I wouldn't let my family stay there. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The number posted here isn't working either.

My one-year-old son found an 8-inch hunting knife under the mattress. When I asked for a refund after we had only been there long enough to walk from the parking lot to the room, they said there was a FIVE minute return policy. That's barely enough time to open the door, let alone unpack a bag. The room was disgusting, the kids were scared, and our day was completely ruined. We got no refund, and the money my husband saved for this stay was wasted. The beds were wayyyyy too small, the bathrooms filthy, and there was only a shower stall, no bathtub. The blankets were sticky and yellowed, and gaps under the front door looked big enough for snakes and probably mice. AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL. I'm disappointed that the customer isn't always right here. I NEVER leave reviews, but had to warn people so they won't be misled. PLEASE go somewhere else.

The lady at the desk was sweet when we checked in, and the hotel is close to the beach, crab stop, a banging place to eat, and the museum. But our back-corner room was bleak, dirty, and much smaller than the photos suggested. The pictures online aren't accurate at all. There was no green lawn with a picnic table or gazebo, just a pool area that belongs to the owners as a private yard. Behind the furniture were candy wrappers and loads of dust, the walls were dirty, and the bedspread had burn spots in a room that accommodated smokers. The pillows were tiny and flat, thankfully we brought our own. The sink took forever to drain, there weren't enough plug-in spots, and the room had only one desk and chair for eating food we brought back. There was no HBO. We didn't try the offered breakfast. When we booked, we were told check-in was at 2pm and check-out at 2pm, but check-out was actually 11 am. We made the best of a bad situation since we'd already paid. The place needs paint and updating. I wish I could post my pictures!

The price was fair, but the room wasn't what I expected. I'd requested a smoking room and was told I'd get one, but the room wasn't smoking. There was a washcloth hanging from the shower, which made me sick to see. The light switch came on, but none of the lights did, so I had to go back and complain.
