The Brook at Turning Stone Resort Casino

The room was just right, and we left with a win. It was a great stay, and we’ll definitely come back.

Sky at the front desk was lovely and patient when my friend’s card wouldn’t work, so I put the room on my card. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and we had a very nice night at the hotel. Later, my card was charged $500 twice, then charged again for the actual room price of $450. I don’t know whether the power outages had anything to do with it. My credit limit meant I could manage the holds, but that wasn’t what we’d agreed to, and I wasn’t happy about it. This shouldn’t happen. If I’d been pressed for credit, it could have caused problems.

We were here for a show and should’ve just taken an Uber from a hotel nearby. The room felt underwhelming for what it cost, and the smoke smell was overwhelming. I could hear the people next door coughing and snoring.

My room was very cold no matter how high I turned the heat, and the shower didn’t work. I was placed at the end of the hallway with my elderly grandmother, next to a room where people were making a disturbance with loud banging and shouting. We couldn’t sleep. Staff management came and gave them a warning, but this had been going on for a day. When I complained, all they offered was a late checkout. That felt unprofessional, and I think they should have offered a partial refund for the inconvenience. Never again.
