Homewood Binghamton/Vestal

The patio was a nice feature, with shade, furniture, and a fire table for evenings. The staff were nice overall, and we were happy with the clean, quiet stay that was convenient for the university. The first-floor rooms show some age and wear. We visited in October 2025 while construction was still going on, so breakfast was temporarily set up in another area. My family and I arrived 20 minutes before the 9 a.m. breakfast end time, but little food was left. I asked if more was coming out and was told no, which seemed odd.

I knew renovations were going on when I booked and figured a little dust and noise wouldn't matter. That's the least of this hotel's problems. Service, maintenance, and housekeeping were all very limited. Breakfast was sparse and not very warm. They were only using rooms on the first two floors, and my room was dirty with just the bare minimum of utensils. There were no tea bags until I asked. Consider this a warning to stay elsewhere unless you want to pay for a Homewood suites and get a Motel six.

This is the worst Hilton property I've stayed at. Service was pretty bad and the rooms weren't even decent. They call the breakfast hot, but it was below par and served on paper plates, which really surprised me. Zero value for the money.

The hallway carpet was torn and there was a lot of construction, with things all torn up. I probably won't stay here again. When I asked for our room to be made up that day, the front desk asked if we could collect our trash and put it in the hallway. We're not above doing that, but it's usually something they take care of.
