Both nights I woke up sweating badly, and even with the AC running the floor was wet and the room felt very humid. The hot water turned cold a couple of minutes into a shower, and the door was hard to close from outside. The bed was uncomfortable, and the chair was covered in dog hair. No shampoo, sloppy cleaning, and there were Taco Bell tacos left in the microwave by the previous guests. Dead bugs were in a corner, and they were still there after housekeeping came.

When Beryl left most of us without power, we drove 3 1/2 hours to find a room. This place isn't fancy, but it gave us shelter, a hot shower, a mini fridge, and free Wi-Fi. It was also close to HEB and other places to eat. The staff, management, and cleaning crew were all top notch. Keep it in mind if you ever have to get to Victoria TX. 😊

My husband and I were impressed by how neat and clean our room was. Marilyn, the manager, was friendly and made us feel welcome. We stayed a second night and asked for the room to be cleaned and for fresh towels, and she made sure it was all taken care of and the room looked neat. I recommend this hotel. The shower water wasn't very hot, and this motel isn't worth what they charge. If I'm paying sixty-something dollars for a room, I expect it to be clean and have hot water. It just isn't worth that price.
