Comfort Inn & Suites Victoria North

The coffee pot was disgusting. In our first room there was a blood stain on the bed, and the second had hair and yellowed pillowcases. I wish I could leave a negative-star rating. Never stay here!

The breakfast was a real letdown, including a basket of moldy fruit, and all the rooms we saw were filthy with stained linens. It took three room changes before we found one with working air conditioning, and even that room smelled strongly musty. With prices similar to other hotels nearby, I expected much better cleanliness and upkeep. This was the worst hotel stay I've had.

The rooms show their age: chipped drywall and paint, hard-water spots, loose threads and stains on the comforter and top blanket, and a mattress pad that doesn't fit. The outside windows were dirty, the sealant around the air conditioner was cracked with water stains nearby, and there were cobwebs and dust bunnies in the corners. It's a budget hotel, but it needs a remodel.

Our group booked four rooms for two to three nights, and we were very disappointed. The rooms were dirty, especially the bathrooms, and the sheets were heavily stained. Room 320's door wouldn't latch unless slammed, and the microwave in 318 didn't work. In 322, the microwave puffed smoke when switched on, so we unplugged it to avoid a fire. One family had to move three times before getting a room with working AC. None of the phones worked in any room. We were told management had chosen to spend this year's money on microwaves instead of working room phones. We won't return to this location or any Comfort Inn & Suites.
