We spent most of the trip out of the room, and for less than $200 for one night, I expected a dump. The balcony slider was permanently foggy and very hard to open or close. Flies and insects were everywhere, not one ice machine in the building worked, and the AC only worked when set to exactly 68 degrees. The shower couldn't seem to hold hot or cold, changing temperature randomly while I was in it. For a nicer room, go with Sheraton or Marriott, if you don't want pets.

The elevator smelled awful and didn't work properly, and the staff seemed not to care. My room smelled like urine, the bathroom had mold, and the tub was dirty. There was garbage stuffed behind the couch. The wallpaper was peeling, and equipment was rusty and broken. Although the rooms are meant to be nonsmoking, ours smelled like smoke too. I felt so uneasy about sleeping there that I considered staying in my car. We only stayed because we'd paid $250 for two nights. This is the most disgusting place I've ever seen. I can't understand how it's allowed to operate. Cheap isn't always better, and I regret spending my hard-earned money here.

For an inn, I thought it was a pretty good deal, and the staff were friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed three nights on the fifth floor. We weren't oceanfront, but could see the water between the buildings. The worst part of the stay was having loud, destructive neighbors. I'd read the reviews and expected much worse, but we didn't see any bugs in our room or have the problems other people described. Keep in mind it's an inn, so don't expect resort quality. We'd come back for the price.

I wouldn't let my dog walk across that dirty floor. The room smelled like marijuana, the windows were grimy, and there was a dead cockroach on the counter. The elevator was old and smelled of urine. Inside, it felt more like a barn than a hotel room, with a worn-out bed and generally nasty conditions. Cancel and you won't get your money back. I can't recommend staying here, and it isn't worth even $40 a day. Keep driving to the next hotel.

The staff were friendly, and the price was good, but our room had a lot of problems. There were roaches, hair in the bedding, a dirty fridge, and not enough towels. The bathroom was gross, too: someone had left tampon trash in the tissue holder built into the sink, and the shower curtain had mold. The AC barely worked, so I kept the balcony door open, and the room smelled like cigarettes.
