The location was handy, about a mile from the Village and three miles from the park entrance. Volcano Village itself is mostly one street, with two stores and a few restaurants scattered along it. We enjoyed dinners at Volcano House and Lanikai Brewing. Inside, the rooms were clean, cozy, and comfortable, with big jungle-facing windows and screens you could pull down for privacy. Staff were welcoming and kept in touch well. Breakfast was great, quiche one day and French toast the next, both with fresh fruit, and there were freshly baked brownies in the lobby. The wi-fi worked well for us. We'd happily stay again and recommend it to friends.

The breakfast brought right to our room was great, and the service was lovely. We especially enjoyed the Volcano Village Lodge's cozy, one-of-a-kind treehouse feel. Since it was only about 10 minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, we could go back at night and see lava spewing from the volcano on January 24.

Drea made such good breakfasts, including quiche, banana pancakes, and fresh fruit, and the brownies were honestly the best I've ever had. The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed for a good stay. The inn has a wonderful treehouse feel tucked into the jungle near the volcano. We'll definitely come back.

Carlos kept in touch by text in the days before our visit and while we were there, checking that we had what we needed. He also sent live updates about the Kīlauea eruption and tips on the best viewing spots. My wife and I loved the property and room, and being just down the road from the Volcanos National Park was great. The staff were incredible. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely return.

The little garden outside our room was lovely, and the room itself was spotless and carefully prepared. You could see the staff's care in all the small touches. Mauna Loa Lodge is a beautiful, peaceful place, and we felt at home from the moment we arrived. We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely return. Highly recommend!
