Hampton Inn Wabash

The place is close to the highway, across from town, and our room on the fourth floor had a great view. The staff were young, enthusiastic, and happy to help. The amenities were excellent, and everything was comfortable and clean. The queen beds had four pillows in different densities, which made for a comfortable sleep. The mattress was a little soft, but that worked perfectly for me after a recent hip replacement. There were plenty of fluffy towels. The tub shower had a handy grab handle, though the toilet wasn't ADA height. I imagine they have rooms that are. It was windy, and some roof work meant a constant tin-squeaking noise. Staff said something up there was loose. I've stayed in plenty of hotels, and earplugs let me sleep soundly. I never heard the other guests. Great visit. I have stayed in some sleazy places over the years, but this wasn't one of them. It was built about six years ago, so it was new to me, though it had lost that new motel smell.

The Hampton Inn Wabash makes for a pleasant, low-stress visit, with clean, comfortable rooms and friendly service. The rooms are kept spotless, and having modern comforts like good bedding and free Wi-Fi made it easy to relax after exploring the area. Staff were welcoming at check-in and helpful with local suggestions. The complimentary breakfast was a real highlight. Guests often call it the best hotel breakfast they've had, and it has a good mix of hot dishes, fresh-baked waffles and scrambled eggs, as well as fruit, pastries, and healthier choices. It was a good way to start the day. The clean setting and genuine hospitality are why Hampton Inn in Wabash stands out as a top choice.

The room was too dry, and I had a bad night's sleep because of it. The beds and pillows were comfortable, though, and I liked the bathtub's shape. Breakfast was the standard free spread, with lots of choices. Extra points for the water bottle refill station and all the comfy seating in the lobby.

It's a nice hotel, like most Hampton Inns. I travel for work and book through CLC. At other hotels I can add my rewards number and get credit for the stay, even if it isn't many points. This hotel wouldn't let me add it.
