Element by Marriott Waco

Breakfast made a big impression: the made-to-order omelet with spinach, bacon and cheese, plus two whole-grain pancakes, was great. There’s also bread, muffins, juice, coffee, an espresso and latte machine, and a yogurt bar that’s a nice extra. The chefs were top shelf, and the open, airy restaurant and bar has sofas and chairs to lounge in. The bar looks modern, though I haven’t tried the drinks. I had the two-queen suite. Both beds were spotless and had just the right firmness, and this was the first hotel I’d stayed at with central air and heat controlled by a wall thermostat. I liked the two-burner stovetop. The fridge isn’t full size, but it’s bigger than a standard mini fridge, and you don’t have to bend down to reach the freezer. The sofa wasn’t very comfortable, but it has a pullout bed, so that was okay. The TV was maybe 50 or 60 inches, not sure, on a wall arm that swivels across much of the room. The view was of the outdoor pools and a giant chessboard with child-sized pieces, which lights up beautifully at night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Prices were really good, and I’d say give it a few nights.

A great place to spend a few days. It’s centrally located, the rooms are really nice, and the huge pool is a plus. The workout room has plenty of space and good equipment, including a leg press. Breakfast was amazing, with an automatic espresso machine.

I’ve stayed at the Element in Waco several times, and it’s one of my favorite hotels. Victoria is always kind, smiling and ready to help. She knows her stuff and goes out of her way to make sure your stay is just right. The staff overall are amazing.

We needed somewhere at the last minute for one night and were surprised by how much was included. Breakfast had a full omelet station and coffee bar, and it felt like a five-star stay for what we paid. The hotel is bright, airy, modern and very clean, and the room and bathroom were lovely. We slept comfortably. The staff were friendly and attentive. I dropped a coffee mug and it broke, and two staff members were there within seconds to clean it up. I’ll definitely come back on my next trip to Waco.
