Towneplace Suites Waco South

The room was clean, but very cramped. Once we opened the sofa bed, there wasn't room to walk around the king bed. The bed itself was soft. The $100 pet fee is astronomical.

The location is prime, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean but smelled stale, and there wasn't much of a discount despite the renovation work going on. The power went out twice without warning, even though we weren't using a hairdryer or large electronics. The tub drained poorly, and the elevator was out for our entire stay. I hope the renovations improve the place.

Our room reeked of weed, and the smell was strong enough to trigger my youngest child's asthma. I also had my 5-month-old baby in the room, exposed to it. On top of that, the bed my teenage daughter was meant to sleep in had blood on it. I emailed the GM and, unsurprisingly, never heard back. We definitely won't return.

It was quiet and relaxing here, a nice place to unwind. The hotel was spacious and clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to make sure things were right. I had a wonderful stay at TownePlace Marriott and highly recommend it for a peaceful visit with great service.
