The oceanfront setting at Kīhei Surfside made for incredible sunsets. A few nights we took dinner and a cocktail onto the big lawn, settled in with a chair or towel, and watched the sun go down. Keawakapu Beach is a few minutes away on foot, an easy and pleasant walk. We spent seven nights in Unit 310 and were impressed. We’ve traveled to Maui for years and tried several resorts, but this one-bedroom, 1.5-bath condo felt especially welcoming. The owners clearly care about it. It’s decorated in a calm tropical style, spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing trip. We highly recommend the unit and will be back.

The beach deserves four stars. The accommodations get one. The listing made this sound like a gorgeous ocean retreat, but we found a tiny, dirty, moldy box with ancient furniture. We had to turn sideways to get around all the clutter. We’re not big people, and even so it felt like a cramped, outdated hovel with a decent view. This isn't a resort, just a fenced-in pool. I tried to raise the problems with the people running the place. On several occasions they wasted a lot of time giving my boyfriend empty promises, and I regret talking him into booking it. They didn't make anything right or even address the outrageous charges. Five days cost $2500, including a $600 (!) cleaning fee for a filthy rat's nest with old furniture and broken items. We were also expected to leave it clean and take out all the garbage. A $600 cleaning fee for that, seriously? I highly recommend staying somewhere else. They don't seem to care. Hustlers and rip-off artists. Avoid like the plague. 💩

The location is amazing, with Keawakapu Beach right next door and unreal views. The place is clean and very well equipped, though a little dated. Great amenities, no complaints, and we'll be back.

Our two-bedroom corner unit faced the ocean, with windows on two sides looking out over the water. The views were unbeatable. The pool is small but nice, and the lush lawn by the ocean has picnic tables and a barbecue.

The location was a plus, with Keawakapu Beach and a boat ramp both within walking distance. It made getting to our snorkeling tour easy. The balcony had a pretty view, the lawn was well maintained, and the front desk staff were kind and helpful. We stayed seven nights in unit 210. The bedroom AC kept beeping and disturbed our sleep for two nights before it was fixed. The sofa bed springs were broken too, and that problem wasn't resolved, so we had to use an uncomfortable air mattress.
