The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and we slept really well in the comfortable bed. The setting is Iao Valley, away from the ocean, but it’s wonderfully quiet and unique. Breakfast was excellent, and it’s easy to drive to almost anywhere on Maui from here. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

Tucked into the Maui hills, the inn feels like a quiet retreat even though town is nearby. It’s a lovely place to slow down and breathe. The owners share a real slice of paradise with their guests, and the fresh, tasty breakfasts were a perfect start to each day. Such a gem.

Tamara is a wonderful host, and the location is a beautiful, unique base in central Maui. It makes it easy to set off for different parts of the island or explore the sacred Iao Valley. I’d love to come back one day.

We loved the cottage’s peaceful, private feel. All we could hear were birds in the trees and the stream below. The private hot tub and fresh papaya were a lovely bonus.

The owners came by personally to welcome us, then again at the end, and otherwise left us to enjoy our peace. That was a really nice touch. My lady friend and I stayed at the Ioa Valley Inn cottege in mid-March 2025. There was a little placard with my last name on it wishing us a romantic stay. I’ve rented lots of air Bnb's and reviewed them there too, but this place deserved a review here as well. They left us fresh fruit, coffee, banana bread, and a pineapple. The bed was SOOOOOOO comfortable, and the shower was amazing, definitely made for two. We also loved the hot tub under the stars by the mountain and Iao Stream, listening to the brook babble. And the massage gazebo was so relaxing.
