Residence Inn by Marriott St. Cloud Waite Park

The hotel was clean and quiet, and Linda, the manager, is the best I’ve come across at any hotel. She sorted out our room issue and even helped us get a much better rate. I’d definitely come back.

I travel 12 to 15 times a year for work supporting our C-suite, and this is one of my favorite hotels by far. The staff are exceptional and supportive, keeping the place clean and accessible. The heated pool is a great perk, especially in a Minnesota winter, and the free hot breakfast is one of the better hotel options, hands down. The room layout, especially in the suites, makes the space functional. I can sit in the living room area to work or watch TV while putting together a meal in the kitchen. It’s not the most aesthetic hotel, but that’s not why you’re staying in St. Cloud. It has what you need to enjoy your stay and feel like you have some at-home amenities. I can’t say enough good things about it.

The suite was a nice setup, with a large bed, couch and lounge area, and a small kitchen. It was great being connected to the conference hotel, and the complimentary breakfast was absolutely fantastic. I’d happily stay here again, and maybe next time my score will be higher. There was one minor issue, though a messy one. The sink disposal was clogged, and the sink drained into the dishwasher until it filled up and started pouring out, flooding the kitchen. I reported it, and maintenance handled it first thing in the morning. For the price, the disposal should’ve been checked before we arrived. It shouldn’t have been something we had to deal with.

It was pretty spendy, but I felt safe and comfortable, and right at home. The one-bedroom was spacious, with two beds. My biggest recommendation is to rotate the breakfast.
