Best Western Plus Regency Park

Dale recognized me as a Gold Member when I arrived and offered complimentary water or soda. He also let me choose from the available rooms. The staff are helpful, the rooms clean, and the breakfast is excellent. I accidentally booked the wrong weekend on BestWestern dot com, but the hotel fixed it right away when I called. It's a safe location and tries hard to take care of loyal members. The signs are good, though I still found it difficult to locate. It's not the newest Best Western, but I highly recommend staying here.

The room seemed fine until we opened the sofa bed. A spring fell out, and the cushion was completely torn, with the broken zipper exposing its underside. We checked the closet for extra sheets and found a pile of dirty towels instead. There were no sheets. Housekeeping clearly hadn't checked the room. The front desk person didn't seem surprised and wasn't apologetic. She seemed annoyed when we asked for sheets and took photos. Later, the front desk guy brought new towels but left the dirty ones behind. The shower drain was also slow. As a travel agent, I won't refer clients here.

Check-in went well, but the room was 64 degrees and smelled musty. Wet carpet by the tile nearly made both my wife and me trip when we stepped onto it. There were long hairs on the washcloth, a bath towel, the counter, and all over the shower tiles. A bug was crawling in the bathroom, and the rusty exhaust fan didn't work at all. I stayed there 10-1-25 and won't return.

The toilet rocked because it wasn't mounted properly, and the tub was missing caulk along the edge by the wall, though it was clean. The mattress was on the firm side, and I prefer the ultra-plush pillow tops that are hard to find. We got four twin-size pillows. They were decent, though not the top-tier BW pillows, and should have been queen or king size. Compared with around ten other BW hotels I've visited recently, this one was higher quality, though not the best. The coffee machine didn't have hot cocoa, and breakfast was standard budget fare, with apples a little past their prime.
