Comfort Inn & Suites Walla Walla

For about two years I've stayed here once a week for work. The staff have always gone above and beyond, and they accommodate my preferred rooms and anything else I need for the night. It's been a great experience.

Don't stay here. General manager SAMANTHA WATSON doesn't respect people with disabilities, and she has been reported for ADA violations. In response to your “two-stepping” excuse, this was never about my service dog. I asked that nobody enter my room while I was away so I could have privacy, and that request wasn't followed. I was happy to have the young woman clean and vacuum on Saturday while I was there. You told me to leave if I didn't like the policy, then said you wouldn't refund my prepaid reservation so I could stay somewhere else. After I spent 10 days at your hotel, you charged a PET fee for my service dog after I left. That's illegal. I couldn't travel without him. We stay in hotels more than 30 weeks a year for work, and he's taken almost 150 flights despite not yet being 4 years old. We've stayed at every upper-class hotel chain, and I've never been treated so poorly or disrespected like this. You should be ashamed. As I said, you and the hotel have been reported.

I slept really well here. Comfort Inn & Suites Walla Walla was quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. Everyone on staff was kind and professional. Breakfast was good, though the coffee was mediocre. There are a pool, hot tub, and fire pit out back, where you can watch the majestic salmon work their way up the rapids past the herons to the spawning gravel upstream. My only wish is that there were more amenities nearby. I was on foot and needed ride-share.

We booked a week and checked out the next morning. The room was extremely old and worn, with a huge, disgusting stain in the middle, a TV that didn't work, a badly broken bed, and a strong mildew and mold smell. It set off my wife's asthma badly. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, they apologized and said the place was being renovated in the new year. They told us we could check out and get a full refund, so we went next door. The refund never came. After several calls and emails, they refused to issue it, claiming they'd offered other options that we declined. That never happened. We were not offered another room, and even if we had switched, I think it would have smelled just as bad. We were absolutely told we'd be refunded for the unused portion. We wouldn't have walked away from $500 otherwise. Horrible experience and deceitful customer service. Never stay here.
