Motel 6 Walla Walla

I really enjoyed the stay, and the staff were friendly and great. We did have a few issues: our comforters were stained, there was no shampoo, and they wouldn't give us extra towels for showering and swimming. The front desk said shampoo isn't supplied anymore, but a very sweet maid found some left behind by other guests on her cart and gave it to us.

I felt safe there, with cameras all around the hotel giving a good view of the area. The private laundry space was nice too, and the large one bedroom rooms were enjoyable. The two bedroom units felt cramped, though, while the other single room I rented was put together really well. Some things needed attention: I couldn't see through the dirty window because of the big circles on it, and the door looked chewed up. The old AC worked, as did the flat screen, but there was toilet paper wadded up in the ceiling. I wish they'd had lotion or shampoo, maybe even pastries at breakfast. Thank you.

The staff's response to all the problems was basically a shrug, as if they knew the place was bad and didn't care to help. It didn't feel like anyone was trying to make the stay worth the money. Don't stay there. Our room door was broken and wouldn't stay shut, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. When we reported it, they pointed us to a plunger by the vending machine and expected us to use it. The toilet wasn't clogged because of anything we had done, so that was no help. The shower made a loud, high pitched noise that woke everyone, the beds were uncomfortable, and the sheets were extremely thin. My friend said she saw bed bugs in her room and ended up sleeping in her car. It was so gross.

We were happy with the price and the quiet location, and could walk all over downtown. The fridge and microwave were a nice surprise. It's an older, somewhat worn hotel, and the bathroom could use updates. The comforters seemed unwashed, which felt gross, so we took them off the bed.
