Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando - Disney Springs Area

The shuttle was dependable and made getting to the parks easy, and early entry was a great perk. It doesn’t offer as many routes as the buses from the Mouse, so we used Uber a few times, but still saved money overall. We loved the pool, breakfast with Mickey Waffles, and the Kickback. The hotel and rooms were very clean. One elevator was out, which sometimes meant a long wait. A great value and a good alternative to the value resorts.

The room was clean and well appointed, though nothing out of the ordinary. What made this Drury a great place to stay for our Disney and Universal trip was the food. We spent seven days, visiting one park a day and going to two after-hours events, and the breakfast, dinner and drinks were far better than we expected. We filled up at breakfast and took advantage of dinner, so we bought almost no food in the parks. Both meals had lots of protein, dinner included vegetables, and drinks were a nice way to unwind after long park days. The staff were all lovely and hospitable, and I had several great interactions. Marcos, Johnathan, Lillian, Jen and Katrina at the bar gave outstanding service, and Justice was gracious and kind while clearing tables. We had such a good stay that we’ll look for other Drury hotels in the future. I wasn’t asked or rewarded for writing this review.

The free breakfast was a big help for our family of four, saving us about $600 over the week. We also came back twice for dinner and drinks, which were okay, and free is good. The complimentary amenities really made a difference. Staff and management were the best customer service I’ve experienced at a hotel, and I wish Disney and Universal would take notes. Sean and Andy at the front desk management, Karla at reception, and the bus drivers were all amazing. We had a two-bedroom suite with lots of space. The park location was about average compared with the All Star resorts. Some buses were disrupted by special events, and routed us through the ticket center before returning to the hotel. Use the printed bus guide to plan your trip back, or take Uber for a faster ride. We stayed at another hotel after this one, and I wished I’d booked the other Drury near Universal instead. This is the hotel chain I’ll look for from now on. Thanks to everyone for making the stay memorable.

I was doubtful about all the glowing reviews, but they’re deserved. The rooms were very nice, and the location worked well for both the parks and Disney springs. The free breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choices and a room that could handle the crowds. Happy hour drinks and snacks were enough to make dinner for us. They also offer transportation to the parks, though we didn’t use it, and the schedule looked good. I’d book here again without hesitation. Well worth it.
