Comfort Inn & Suites Walterboro I-95

The rooms were very clean and well equipped, with extra pillows, blankets, and plenty of bathroom linens. The hotel and grounds were well kept, and every employee I dealt with was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was hot and fresh, with sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles, pastries, bagels, biscuits, muffins, yogurt, and more. It's the usual free hotel-chain breakfast, and better than a drive-through. People complaining about it should remember this isn't a five-star resort on the Riviera. On a recent trip to Florida I stayed here on the way down and again on the drive home. There was a small issue when I arrived the first time, but the very friendly front desk clerk sorted it out right away. Both stays were pleasant, quiet, and restful. I'll keep stopping here on future trips south.

The bed was very comfortable, and the staff made it easy to handle everything from booking through checkout. Breakfast was awful, though, and there was hardly anything offered. The biscuits were the only decent thing. When we asked if gravy was coming out on Sunday morning, they said that was for tomorrow's breakfast. We had to buy breakfast elsewhere.

The staff were great, but I woke up to mouse droppings on the bathroom counter and right where I'd been sleeping in bed. I left a note for the staff when I handed in our room keys.

Stopped here on the way to Florida because I needed a comfortable place to sleep. The room was clean, smelled fresh, and everything went smoothly. Breakfast was a really good continental spread. It was just right for a night on the road, and I'd come back if I needed to.
