Motel 6 Walterboro, SC

We paid $67 for room 116 at the Walterboro, SC Motel 6, but couldn't use some of the basic amenities. After coming back from getting a bite to eat, the TV wouldn't turn on, the toilet needed three or four flushes, and the WiFi wouldn't connect. The phone's button to call the front desk didn't work either. I went to the desk to explain, and was told nothing could be done until morning because maintenance had gone for the night. I've stayed at Motel 6 many times, including bookings through the app and in person, and haven't had this kind of experience before. We hope there's a fair solution in the morning.

We stayed here when we moved from Michigan and were looking for something within our budget. The other places I found were too expensive, and this one was affordable, especially for a longer stay. The staff were great, and the coffee was available late at night. My dogs seemed to love it too, with no dog fee and a big yard where they could walk. I highly recommend this place!

My rental car broke down and left me stranded here. The property was decent, but what I appreciated most was how kind they were about my dogs. They didn't hassle me at all.

We managed with the room we were given, but it wasn't what we'd asked for. We're older and have bad knees, so we requested a ground-floor room with a king bed. Instead, we got two twin beds on the second floor. When we asked, we were told the requested setup wasn't available. Then, while carrying our things upstairs, we saw another couple check in and get a ground-floor room with a king bed.
