Courtyard Boston Waltham

The rooms are clean, though the carpets and bathrooms look worn, and they no longer provide lotion in the bathrooms. The location is close to the business park, with a free shuttle available. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

The staff have been exemplary and very accommodating, and the rooms are really nice and clean. Downstairs, the Bistro staff were kind and tried to help where they could. The food is my one small complaint. I paid $15.00 for tomato soup and a grilled cheese. The soup was good, but the sandwich was barely toasted and hardly had any cheese, so the quality and serving didn’t match the price. I’ve been impressed since checking in.

On my early January visit, the rates were very competitive, and the service was excellent. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. It’s also handy for getting onto the highway and reaching companies in Waltham. There’s a nice restaurant across the street, The Cooper House Tavern, within walking distance. A good experience at this Courtyard.

The woman answering the front desk phone on the afternoon and evening shift was very rude. I never stayed at the hotel because weather cancellations changed my plans, but seeing other one-star reviews from guests who describe hostile front desk workers doesn’t surprise me. It might be a decent place if everything goes smoothly. If something comes up and you need help, I wouldn’t count on a kind response from reception.
