The rooms are on the small side, but mine was clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were so welcoming, especially the lovely woman who answers during the day. In the evening, everyone was kind and had good suggestions for places to eat and drink nearby. It’s a family run place with a real Jones Beach institution feel, and it’s great value. There’s also a lively restaurant attached that always seems busy and smells delicious.

I found poop in the toilet, apparently left by the previous guest, and saw little bedbugs jumping on the sheets. It was freezing in my room all night because there was no heat. When I called the front desk the second night, I was told to turn a knob on the furnace, which meant reaching into the corner behind the fridge. I don’t know why I was supposed to know that, or why it hadn’t been turned on already. Parking was a mess too. I waited an hour for a spot by the restaurant, and they wanted me to park two blocks away. The restaurant owner or manager came out yelling, and the valet wouldn’t let me park. I wasn’t going to leave my car two or three blocks away in a snowstorm. After two days, the lot still hadn’t been plowed, and four feet of snow surrounded my car. Other guests argued in the hallway for hours. Definitely a x worker spot.

A really comfortable bed, and the shower had great water temperature and pressure. It’s a no-frills boutique hotel with an excellent restaurant attached. Just know there’s no elevator, only stairs.

Manny and Elizabeth give great customer service. I’ve been staying here whenever I’m in town for five years, and having such a cozy place to come back to gives me real peace of mind. I love this hotel.
