Amber Lantern Efficiency Cottage

The cabins have a fun story behind them: they were built entirely from wood salvaged from the World's fair. Tom and his wife were lovely to deal with and really accommodating. The Amber Lantern is also just five minutes from Canada Street and the Lake George attractions. This was our family's second stay, and we're already planning to return next year. Would absolutely recommend it.

Tom was easy to approach, very friendly, and clearly cared about making our stay work for us. The cabins were rustic and cozy, and kept very clean, though the bathroom was a little small. The location is handy, right between Lake George Village and Bolton Landing.

Tom was really friendly and easy to book with, and we’re planning to come back next time we’re in the area. We stayed three nights, and the two-bedroom cottage and pool were a hit with the kids. It was also an easy drive to everything in town.

For the price, this place is fantastic. The cabins are on the small side, but they’re clean, homey, and have good hot water pressure, plus a TV, WiFi, and mini fridge. It felt cute and safe, and it’s right by Lake George. We had a small mixup with our dogs. The property allows dogs, but you need to call ahead, and the owner was gracious about it. If you’re bringing dogs, call first!
