The newly renovated cottage was just what we wanted. It sits apart from the main house and has the look I’d imagine for an 1820s cottage, along with modern kitchen and bathroom amenities. A book on the table shared fascinating history about the house. Being within walking distance of town made it easy to go out for dinner.

James, the innkeeper, made the history of this pretty, history-filled house come alive. He also had a great breakfast ready every morning, including his own homemade granola. The location is great too, within walking distance of downtown Warrenton, and James had good suggestions for wineries and other things to do nearby. We had an amazing stay at this B&B and highly recommend it. We’ll return!

Our bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable, though the private bath was down the hall. James, the Innkeeper, welcomed us right at the front door and shared some of the house’s history. Breakfast was served in the dining room. Chilton House is a wonderful historic B & B, and it’s an easy walk to the brewery and downtown Warrenton. A nice experience, and we’d stay again.

We stayed in the McDonnell room after getting married, using the house as a halfway stop on our travels. It was gorgeous, comfortable, and clean, and breakfast was delicious. The house is beautiful and full of history, and the innkeeper knows it all. We’ll be back!

The bed was really soft, and having Netflix on the TV was a nice touch. Breakfast was a hit too: homemade granola, or “chilnola,” with yogurt and berries. My husband usually doesn't like granola, but he loved it. James welcomed us with port and told us about the house's history. We had a wonderful two-night stay and hope to come back soon.
