Residence Inn by Marriott Chicago Naperville/Warrenville

I stayed here for four weeks for work, and the staff were incredibly kind. I worked night shifts, and housekeeping worked around my cleaning schedule, which I really appreciated. The housekeepers were the sweetest people. Elaine and Yvonne at the day and night front desks were amazing to talk with, and helped whenever I needed it. My room was perfect, and I loved the seating area outside the pool and hot tub, especially the gas fireplace I enjoyed almost every night. The gym and pool table were available, though I didn't use them. Shopping was convenient, with outlet stores and groceries 15 minutes away, and Chicago about 30 minutes away.

For our one-night visit, the room was comfortable, well appointed, clean, and cozy. We asked about an upgrade at check-in, and the team was willing to help. The bed was upgraded, but we were moved from a one-bedroom suite to a studio-style room, so it felt more like a sideways move than an upgrade. It didn't affect us much for just one night, and we appreciated the staff trying to accommodate us.

The free breakfast was a nice thing to have, though I think the first batch of eggs gave me a stomach ache. The rooms were adequately clean aside from a couple of odd issues, including dead flies inside the bathroom light. Maybe they were trying to create an ambiance, but Halloween is already past. There was also an unprotected tile edge where the kitchen floor meets the carpet that could cut someone. I wish requests through the app actually mattered. I tried asking for a few things and never got a call or any response. Being an elite member felt useless too, since the preferences you can set never seem to be honored.

We had plenty of parking, and the lot was well lit and easy to get in and out of. The location was convenient for the places we visited, and we'd stay here again. The staff were welcoming and kind, our room was clean and comfortable, and they set up a pack n play for my son while we brought our bags up. Breakfast had lots of nice options. The elevators need attention: one wasn't working, while the other lurched and was very loud, which made it seem unstable.
