Room 323 was roomy, quiet, and comfortable. The common areas have decor that reflects the area’s history, giving the hotel historic charm alongside modern amenities. The front desk team were polite, professional, and efficient.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, and the rooms are great. The real standouts were the staff, especially Will and Ramon. Their service was absolutely outstanding, and they went above and beyond to make sure guests were comfortable.

We paid a fortune for Alumni Weekend, when the place was packed, then got woken at 2am by hammering. It sounded like someone was at our door, and we were jolted awake in a panic. Since prices dropped to less than half starting Monday, I expected a slightly late checkout until noon, but they refused. The way guests are treated felt dismissive, as though staying there were a favor and the staff were set on making things difficult for $800 a night. I wouldn’t come back.

Our wedding day at the Hanover Inn was joyful and memorable, and the team helped make everything go smoothly. Brendan Bellanger, the catering manager, and Rick Thorpe were attentive, professional, and kind, taking care with allergies and dietary needs. Our guests felt looked after, and the whole celebration was elegant and stress-free. We’re grateful to them and the entire Hanover Inn team.

The location opposite Dartmouth campus is very convenient, and the service was excellent. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a huge, comfortable, well-appointed suite. Pine restaurant served delicious food and great service, although several menu items were unavailable. It gets expensive on busy weekends.
