Candlewood Suites Arundel Mills / BWI Airport by IHG

My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay. The location was easy to get to and very accessible to the airport and parkway. It's pet friendly, the beds were comfortable, and housekeeping and management were great. The front desk was super friendly. Highly recommend, five stars.

We'd stayed here at least five times before, and it's gone downhill a lot. It used to be clean and nice, with friendly, helpful staff. This time the staff weren't friendly at all. People drank in the lobby at night, and others smoked pot outside the hotel. Marijuana may be legal now, but I don't want to smell it every time I enter or leave. If I came here with kids, I guarantee it would be my first and last stay. It was also a huge disappointment that the shuttle bus is gone, even though the website still lists and pictures it.

The front desk is wonderful, and the room was spacious, clean, and warm. The kitchen had everything I needed. I asked for a room not too far from the front because of my health, and they said no problem. Best across the board.

The setup was well thought out, and the utensils and appliances were just right. They'd stocked dish detergent for both the sink and dishwasher, plus soap, shampoo, and conditioner. The carpet and furniture were free of sticky spots and stains, and there were no odd smells. The lobby coffee came from a fresh-grind automatic machine, and it wasn't bad. The creamer choices were French vanilla or plain sweetened cream, though the vanilla was empty. Not much to complain about.
