Best Western Plus Warsaw

The people working there were nice and really helpful, though the front desk could use some work on hospitality. The bathroom was dirty, with snot and hair on the walls, and there was no shampoo even after I asked twice. The receptionist had gone to McDonald's during the hours I needed to check out.

We always book through the Choice app and usually get what the confirmation email says. This time I reserved a king room 22 hours before arrival, and the reservation was confirmed. At check-in, they said they'd given us a free upgrade to two queens. We wanted a king, so that was a downgrade to us, and they said no king rooms were available. I checked online right then and saw three king suites listed, but they said those weren't available either. All evening the app still showed that I could book a king suite. I never got one. I called headquarters, but they said this was an issue in the area and I needed to talk to the manager. Of course, the manager was off sick, and headquarters couldn't help. Save yourself the hassle of being lied to and book at IHG. I'm never booking here again.

The staff did their best to make us comfortable and were very apologetic. The hotel itself was in awful shape. Our room smelled strongly of mold and mildew, the sheets were dirty, and the towels were dingy and yellow. The microwave was filthy and broken, and flooring throughout the building was badly damaged. The county health department and building inspector should inspect the property. Nobody should stay here.

The room was clean, and the continental breakfast was a nice plus. But the hallways were filthy, and the pool was closed and covered. Be very careful booking this Casual Hotel: you can reserve one room and arrive to find you've booked two. They won't cancel it or arrange an extended stay, and the hotel tells you to contact Choice while Choice sends you back to the hotel. I've found this has happened to other people often too. My advice is to stay away.
