Don’t come here. The room looked nothing like the pictures, and although it was supposed to be nonsmoking, it smelled awful as soon as I opened the door. The floor was peeling and shifting, the sheets weren’t clean, and the door lock barely worked. Motel 6 is better.

The internet wouldn’t work in our room. Since my children were with me, I had to upgrade my phone plan to one costing $70 just to get online. After we’d paid $102 a night, they said we could use the internet by sitting in the lobby. No one showed compassion or tried to fix the problem. They don’t respect your money, and I’ll never spend it here again.

I was locked out of my room for over an hour because the key card stopped working. They said cards deactivate automatically overnight, even though checkout wasn’t until 11.

The room was the best surprise: modern and very clean, with no bedbugs or roaches that I saw. The front desk lady was nice, and it was so quiet I doubt there were many other guests. Outside, though, it looked closed. The parking lot was empty and the EconoLodge signs weren't in their frames, but the lobby doors opened as I walked up. The lobby itself was decent. They're renovating, and the new faux hardwood isn't sticking properly, so it feels odd underfoot. That explains the loose-floor comments I'd seen. The paint on the window was the only issue in my room, and I wasn't there for the view. I'd stay again.
