Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Warsaw

We stayed on December 19, 2025. My wife is battling cancer and has a back disability, and she uses a service dog. It had been snowing, and the walkways weren't cleared or maintained. The sidewalks looked too risky for the dog, so I chose to support my wife myself. She fell twice and had large bruises on her hip and leg because it was so slippery. We told the staff at check-in. They comped the room and promptly sent someone to salt the sidewalks. But at checkout, the manager said they wouldn't comp it after all and claimed the sidewalks had been salted before we arrived. That wasn't true. The manager told us to have our lawyer contact them if we wanted to go further. They also charged dog fees, which aren't permitted under federal ADA laws for service dogs. We're from Virginia and will look for a legal solution. In the meantime, be wary of the irresponsible staff.

The location is convenient, with a supermarket, restaurants, and stores nearby, and there's plenty of parking. Our room was spacious and updated, with a modern look, a very clean bathroom, and comfortable beds and pillows. The staff were courteous and helpful. I was placed near the elevator and ice machine. I'm usually a good sleeper, so I didn't complain, but the ice dropping and people filling buckets were noisy enough to make it hard to sleep. We were there for only two nights, with one night left, so I put up with it. Avoid those rooms if you want to enjoy the hotel fully.

We were on our way to Buffalo and stayed here in Warsaw. The location was nice, and we didn't hear noise from other rooms. Breakfast was nice too, and everything in the room seemed almost new. Still, the room was small for the price, which wasn't cheap, and it smelled strongly of pee. I even opened the window, but the smell stayed.

Debra and the crew were wonderful when weather restrictions caught us in Gainesville. We're semi truck drivers, and after arriving Monday morning, they kept us updated about whether it was safe to leave. We decided to stay until this morning to avoid what was expected ahead of us. If you find yourself in Warsaw, stop by and experience their kindness and the charm of their little town.
