Courtyard by Marriott Washington, DC Dupont Circle

It's been a month since we stayed at the hotel, and our room security deposit still hasn't been refunded, even though we left the room in good condition with no damage. At checkout, we were told it would take only a few days. I'd appreciate an update from the hotel on the refund status.

This hotel is really convenient for the Metro and everything else, less than 5 blocks away, with fun coffee shops and restaurants nearby. Service was great. Housekeeping comes every two days, though you can ask for extra towels. There's breakfast downstairs and a snack area where you can buy chips and drinks. I'd stay here again.

Housekeeping didn't come during my stay unless I asked, and even then it took forever. When I called for bottled water, they told me to come downstairs and get it myself. For breakfast, as an Ambassador member, I got a one-time $10 voucher that barely covered a coffee at $4.50, with no change offered. I stayed five days, and the room was outdated, the sheets were dirty, and the air conditioning didn't work. The place is overpriced for what you get. I've stayed at Marriotts all over the world and have Ambassador Elite status, but this was my worst Marriott experience. I trusted the Marriott name, but this property doesn't live up to it. I don't recommend it, especially for Bonvoy members expecting the quality and service Marriott is known for.

The location is great, with easy access to nearby attractions and amenities. The stay was decent because of that, but the rooms are small and somewhat dim, and the shower pressure is weak and sometimes cuts out. Comfort and facilities could use some improvement.
