The staff were friendly and understood why I wanted to cancel, and the location is close to Union market with quick food and convenience stores nearby. But the room smelled of smoke even though it was confirmed as non-smoking, and you could hear everything. If you're on an odd-numbered side of the building, the train is loud. I wouldn't recommend it, even for a quick weekend of just showering and sleeping.

The king room was spacious and really nice. I loved being next to the NOMA Metro, 7-Eleven, Subway, 5 Guys & Dominoes Pizza. Check-in is at 4pm, but my flight got me there at 10am, so the wait for a room started things off badly. Marriott Ambassador Marquette was hands down the best part of this location. His great customer service and engagement are why I'll stay there again on my next D.C. work trip in April.

The windows do a pretty good job keeping the sound down, though very light sleepers might still wake up when trains pass. The room overlooks the tracks leading into Union Station. It was a nice stay, very convenient to the Metro, and I'd stay again.

MONAEM, the bartender, was especially attentive and gave me exceptional service. Everyone else was wonderful too. I was in DC for an important test, so coming back to a clean, comfortable room made a big difference.

The room was ready when we arrived around noon, even though check-in is at 4, and the woman at the desk was very nice. The location was good, but the room was dirty and smelled of cigarette smoke. There was grease on the headboard, hair on the bathroom floor, dust everywhere, and our white socks turned brown just from walking around. We were only there for three days, so we didn't complain, but I wouldn't return.
