Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Georgetown

We were visiting for a large event at another hotel and were glad we picked Embassy Suites Georgetown. Our room was roomy and very clean, and the neighborhood was pleasant and easy to get around. There are plenty of good restaurants and local attractions close by. We enjoyed both the breakfast buffet and dinner in the restaurant. Every staff member we dealt with was helpful, courteous, friendly, and professional. We’ll definitely return, and we recommend it for a visit.

We had a pool, which was nice, though its spot near the foyer felt awkward for people in swimwear. There’s a back entrance, and you can change in the back bathrooms if you’re concerned about modesty. I didn’t wear my mankini this time. Our rooms were very clean and roomy, and housekeeping was outstanding. The double-queen setup with a king-sized sofa bed worked well for our family. The pullout was comfortable and quiet. The suite was huge, better than a typical Embassy Suites. Afternoon drinks were brought to the tables with cheesecake and other food, covered by an included voucher. They were much more attentive than at other Embassy Suites. Breakfast was good enough, even though the hot chocolate machine was down and the bacon ran out for five minutes. There were plenty of staff to help, the omelets were delicious, and the spacious dining area had lots of seats. Our family is becoming more of a Hilton Suites family because we like the multi-room setup and facilities.

Elaf at reception was genuinely caring and went out of her way to help me. Mahlet at the District Tap restaurant looked after us so well and made our meal fun. The staff were kind and welcoming throughout. We had a beautiful, large room with a view of the street, and the location was perfect.

The rooms are spacious, the hotel is clean, and the staff were very helpful. I’d like to see a few small improvements, such as lamps with USB ports. The room’s USB outlets either worked poorly or didn’t work at all in one spot. That may sound minor, but it matters when you have several devices to charge. It may technically be Georgetown, but the most popular shopping areas and restaurants are about a mile away. I still had a nice stay.
