Fairmont Washington, D.C., Georgetown

The business lounge staff really made the stay for me. They were friendly, engaged, and quick to help, with a personal touch that made a difference. The Fairmont Washington is comfortable and well appointed, and the facilities and staff were excellent throughout. I'd happily come back.

The only small drawback for us was the pool, which is part of a gym and set up for swimming laps rather than relaxing. Everything else was wonderful. We appreciated the upgrade to a Signature King room, which was beautifully maintained, as was the rest of this lovely hotel. Juniper's breakfast and the room service dinner were both excellent, especially the lobster roll, which was amazing even by the standards of our seafood loving city. The Georgetown location is quiet, away from the National Mall crowds and noise, but only a short Uber ride away. We visit DC about once a year and plan to stay at the Fairmont from now on.

The one problem was the temperature in my room. It was very cold, and I couldn't raise it using the self controlled thermostat. Otherwise, this is a beautiful hotel with everything needed for a great stay. The service, location, and accommodations were all top notch.

We've been staying here on Washington trips for 15 years, and I'm already looking forward to the next visit. The staff are always friendly and so helpful. This time, we had to change our plans midway through the trip, and the front desk sorted out the arrangements without making us do any work. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, good lighting, and great bathrooms, and the location is perfect.
